This fine art photograph captures the historic majesty of Arundel Castle in West Sussex, England. Built in the 11th century and home to the Dukes of Norfolk for nearly a thousand years, the castle stands as a striking example of medieval English architecture and restoration.
While exploring the countryside near Amberley Castle, I visited Arundel and photographed its commanding structure using a simple plastic Holga camera. The resulting black and white negative, scanned in RGB, revealed subtle tonal shifts that I enhanced to create a warm, yellowish hue—evoking the ancient atmosphere of this Grade 1 listed fortress.
