During that week in Maine, we made a predawn trek to Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park, to watch and hopefully photograph the sunrise. You can see one of the results of that foray in “Ring Of Light” elsewhere in the gallery.
But afterwards, we spent time driving around, and I grabbed a favorite waterfall photo you can see in the B&W gallery. But I also came across this scene, wild grasses backlit by the autumn sun. The texture, color vibrancy and shading all caught my eye. The little points of green, hidden in amongst all that yellow and orange gives a great counterpoint.
Again, not a big scenic vista, but a detail shot that evokes the autumn and the glorious light.
