Still exploring Acadia National Park, I came across this second scene that felt like a natural companion to “Autumn Grasses #1.” Again, the golden strands of wild grass caught my eye—but this time they were interspersed withflashes of green and little sticks tipped in red, like nature’s own accents.
The visual rhythm here feels almost musical—autumn grasses flowing every which way, with those slender sticks acting like notes on a page. There’s a kind of helter-skelter movement, but it’s not chaotic. To me, the effect is calming, like nature in motion finding its own quiet balance.
It’s one of those scenes you might walk right past, but I’m glad I didn’t. And I’m even more glad I had my camera ready.
