Another encounter along the banks of a creek in Maine. A chance encounter, if you will.
So, first off, I’m not a geologist (although I have sold some prints from this series to an energy company for the walls of the geologist’s offices), so I have no idea what kind of stone this is. A wild guess is granite, but I am actually hoping that one of you can enlighten me, just shoot me an email.
But I was taken by the consistent color tone throughout this scene, and simply awestruck by my luck in finding this plant (again, I have no idea; help me out!) busting up through the crack. The color contrast was wonderful, and the rocks at top, along with the diagonal crevice made the composition almost frame itself.
