I was walking around downtown Chicago, enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon, and finding photos all over the place. This was one of the best.
I honestly don’t know what building this is, the next time I am in town I have vowed to find it and get the name. But I didn’t need the name to see a great photo in front of me.
The graphics of the architecture were enhanced by the late afternoon sun hitting a side of it, giving the yellow tones. Augmented by the building lighting streaming up onto the buttresses, and the summer blue sky reflecting in the windows, it was a feast for my eyes. Some times all you need to do is look!
And it seems I’m not the only one who likes it………
It has been honored in The New York Center for Photography’s “Architecture” Exhibition in 2021; The Southeast Center for Photography’s, “Architecture” Exhibition in 2023; and The Houston Visual Arts Alliance 39th Juried Open Exhibition in 2023.
