We were up before dawn on an assignment at 44 Farms, near Cameron, Texas. All to get first light. Which, when we arrived, turned out to be “first light enveloped in fog.”
So we hung round until things lifted, but in the interim I made several personal images,, including this one.
I loved how the lone tree started slowly emerging as the fog lifted, and the greens and yellows in the pasture contrasted with the blue sky, that slowly showed itself above the fog bank.
The image was included in APA Los Angeles’ “Off The Clock” Exhibition in 2012, and a large print of this has been hanging in my living room for a number of years.
