I was exploring along the creek banks, watching the end of autumn happen right before my eyes. As I am fascinated by shapes, textures, colors, and of course composition. this caught my eye.
A handful of leaves, having fallen to the water, found themselves bunched into a wedge between some rocks, carried there by the moving water. With the camera on a tripod, the slow shutter speed enabled me to blur the moving water into the white silkiness that complemented the remnants of morning frost barely visible on the rocks.
The “movement” in the composition partners with the actual movement in the water to make, to me, a satisfying image that reminds me of my favorite time of the year.
