The week in Maine for autumn color was, well, less than spectacular. Not much in the way of blue skies for the most part. But that’s all right, you work with what you have.
In this instance, the overcast skies did not give us the strong shadows of sunlight, and I found this composition appealing. It’s usually hard to work with such a busy scene, but the green foreground, against the golden background, and the two larger trunks standing out against the almost wispy strands around them, well, it worked for me.
Texture, moving lines, and color contrast, what more do you need?
