My wife spent about 15 years performing in The Grand Teton Music Festival, and when we first got together I was fortunate enough to accompany her a couple of times. I had never been to that area before, and she was a great tour guide, as she had always loved the opportunity to explore on her days off, and she had favorite places to go back to when she could.
On my first time with her we actually started at the north end of Yellowstone National Park, after having spent the night in Cody. we drove along The Bear Tooth Highway, and I have several color images from that drive in my color collection. But once we got down to Jackson, we were along the Grassy Lake Drive and got out to explore a little bit. This was another example of an image that was just so so in color, but upon conversion to black and white the textures and patterns just jumped off the screen.
