Under A Texas Sky
Under A Texas Sky
Montana is known as ‘Big Sky Country,” but we also have some pretty big ones here in Texas on occasion.
Take this scene, at 44 Farms, near Cameron, Texas. The land has been in the owner’s family for over 100 years. It has become one of the premiere Angus cattle facilities in the country, known for its genetic lines and breeding, as well as for the incredibly flavorful beef that is featured in restaurants all over the state. It is available to the consumer through their online store as well.
This was shot on a hot summer day, as one of the cowboys was moving a few head of cattle from one pasture to another, and I found this magnificent sky full of clouds overlooking the action.
And I am delighted to share that a 40” X 60” print of this image hangs in the new Loews Arlington Hotel near the major sports stadiums in the Dallas-Ft.. Worth Metroplex.
