Collection: Zurich in Black and White — Architecture and Street Observation

Zurich Black and White Fine Art Photography Prints

Black and white fine art photography prints by Michael Hart, exploring structure, light, and human presence in Zurich. This monochrome collection focuses on architecture, geometry, and atmosphere, presented as limited edition archival pigment prints.

Zurich reveals itself through restraint and structure.

Photographed at the close of winter, these images explore a city defined by stone façades, narrow streets, bridges, and the quiet movement of the River Limmat. Fog compresses space, architecture sharpens silhouette, and human presence becomes a measure of scale.

Rendered in black and white, the photographs rely on tone and geometry rather than color. The muted atmosphere clarifies form, allowing structure, light, and movement to resolve with precision.

What interested me most was not spectacle, but proportion—the alignment of architecture, light, and human gesture within a confined urban frame.

Working within a restrained tonal range, the images emphasize structure, geometry, and the relationships between light and form. Each work is produced as a limited edition archival pigment print, intended for long-term collection.

Each photograph is issued in a limited edition of 15, regardless of size. Once the edition is complete, no further prints will be produced.
