Collection: Chicago Sketches-Architectural studies exploring geometry, light, and atmosphere in Chicago.

Chicago reveals itself through fragments—light on the river, architecture rising between narrow streets, a passing figure caught in motion, or a small neighborhood landmark now long gone.

This collection brings together a series of photographs made during various visits to the city, ranging from quiet street observations to graphic studies of its celebrated architecture. Some images were captured with modern digital cameras, while others were made with a simple plastic Holga, whose imperfections lend a nostalgic softness well suited to Chicago’s historic character.

What unites the photographs is not a single subject but a way of seeing: moments when light, geometry, and human presence briefly align within the city’s restless energy.

Together they form a set of visual notes—sketches of a city that continues to reinvent itself while remaining unmistakably Chicago.
